Trees for Vancouver Reference Application Software
EN_ The LACF seed funding awarded is intended to assist in attracting other funding to help realize the overall intent of this project. This software reference bridges the gap between the information provided in typical plant books, which describe how trees perform in home gardens or nurseries, and the information required by landscape architects who work in varied settings, from streetscapes and rooftop patios to habitat restoration sites. The material is presented in an App and is embedded with features that will make the complete, relevant information required by landscape architects more easily available than ever before.

FR_ Le financement initial accordé par la FAPC est destiné à aider l’équipe à trouver d’autres appuis financiers pour mener à bien son projet. Ce logiciel de référence vise à combler l’écart entre les renseignements fournis par les ouvrages classiques de botanique – où l’on décrit le comportement des arbres dans les jardins privés ou les pépinières – et ceux dont ont besoin les architectes paysagers qui travaillent dans des cadres variés, du toit-terrasse et du carrefour urbain au site de restauration d’habitat. La documentation sera présentée dans une application conviviale grâce à laquelle l’architecte de paysage pourra accéder plus rapidement que jamais à des données pertinentes et complètes.
