OALA VOLUNTEERS CHOOSE LACF…
“ The Ontario Association of Landscape Architects is proud to donate $2000 to the Landscape Architecture Canada Foundation (LACF) says OALA President, Doris Chee. “In appreciation of our OALA volunteers and their work, this small token was given to the Foundation.”
Doris Chee explains further that in 2016, the OALA Council received positive feedback from volunteers who agreed for Council to find a way to thank them and at the same time support the profession. “ We chose to donate to LACF as it continues to support our newest members and the growth of the profession by offering student endowment funds and grants for innovative projects across Canada.”
Reaction from OALA members was immediate and positive with the OALA Council planning to continue this new tradition in 2017. On behalf of Council, Chee thanks all OALA volunteers for their time and commitment to the Association. LACF is grateful for this creative and generous contribution that will be invested in Ontario Scholarship initiatives and applauds the OALA community.
LACF MAKES NO SMALL PLANS…
The LACF Board is pleased to post their Stategic plan 2016-2019 and the Scholarship & Bursary Program on the Documents section of our Website. While these two documents will help guide the Foundation into the future, the Annual Report 2016, also posted, provides a portrait of the progress made over the last year including activities, achievements and financial growth.
