NOVEMBER 5 2014 _ The Landscape Architecture Canada Foundation (LACF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Paulette Vinette, CAE, FASAE as national Executive Director. Paulette served as Executive Director of the CSLA from 2009 – 2011, and brings over 25 years of not-for-profit organization management and leadership experience to LACF.
As LACF’s part-time lead bureaucrat, Paulette will report to the LACF Board via LACF President Cecelia Paine, FCSLA, OALA and ensure adherence to LACF’s new federal by laws. Anotherkeycontributionwill be to assist our numerous volunteer leaders in their work, beginning with supporting Peter Kreuk, FCSLA, BCSLA and our Fund Raising Committee who are gearing up to launch our annual fund raising drive and Faye Langmaid, FCSLA, SALA who is overseeing the allocation of Grants. Kari MacKinnon, LACF financial assistant, will continue to support Treasurer Don Hester FCSLA, MALA. Wendy Graham, FCSLA, AAPQ, Chair of LACF’s Communications Committee will also work closely with Paulette, who is also bilingual.
Paulette established her federally incorporated consulting company in 2000, and has served as part- time and/or interim executive director for over ten not-for-profit organizations operating virtually. Paulette recently created a comprehensive governance manual for the Board of a national registered charity, and has successfully served in a numerous key leadership roles of Canadian charities, validating her respect for the time constraints and responsibilities of volunteer leaders.
