APRIL e-NEWS

April  is World Landscape Architecture Month [WLAM] and you are invited to celebrate by becoming a member of LACF!  Also, please take note that the LACF Annual Members Meeting [AMM] will be held on June 1st 2017.  See the President’s invitation for details below.

YES I WANT TO CELEBRATE WLAM WITH LACF AND BECOME A MEMBER!

When you make a donation of 100$ or more to LACF, you become a member and join the growing group of individuals and organizations that support research, communication and scholarship in Landscape architecture.  You can also become a friend of the Foundation when you make a contribution under $100.  In both cases, we will keep you informed about our ongoing activities and groundbreaking research via our eNews and updates.  As a member you also have a voice and the right to vote at our Annual Members Metting [AMM]. Join us in celebrating World Landscape Architecture month by helping to build a stronger Foundation. All you have to do is DONATE NOW.

PETER BRIGGS DONATES BIG-TIME for NORTHERN RESEARCH

As an outcome of the climate change focus of the Ottawa Congress in 2015, the NWTALA initiated a Norther Research Fund with the LACF. This fund will be targeted at providing $5000 a year in support of work that  relates to northern areas. At the beginning of 2017, the fund was sitting at $5,000. In order to have the fund be active, Peter Briggs, president of Corvus Design in Anchorage, past president of the CSLA and member of the LACF Board of Directors,  made a personal donation of over $10,000 as a matching challenge to other individuals and firms to get the fund to it's $25,000 goal. Donations can be made to LACF with the notation that they go to the Northern Research Fund. Here's hoping others will rise to the challenge! A big LACF Thank you goes to Peter Briggs!
