LACF New Website Launch + Membership Campaign

Monday, December 16, 2013

LACF has a NEW look!  LACF _ Landscape Architecture Canada Foundation invites you to the launch of their new Website!  You can review the 100+ projects in the LACF Portfolio, and learn more about our Annual Grants and Scholarships Programs.  Now, it’s easy to become a member of LACF or make a donation in support of our mission online!

Because we want you to know LACF better, our site design is simple, informative and easy to navigate. Like our new logo, the Website celebrates the colour and vibrancy of the profession of Landscape Architecture.

Become a MEMBER online

Landscape Architecture Canada Foundation LACF, created in 1989 as a non-profit organization, supports Research, Communication and Scholarship initiatives in keeping with the values and ideals of the profession of Landscape Architecture.  To mark our 25th anniversary in 2013, the LACF Board voted to open its doors to a wider audience and expand its forms of membership. Now, you can  become a member when you make a donation on-line. There is still time to contribute before the Dec. 31 ‘tax receipt’ deadline!

Be part of our FUNDRAISING campaign

LACF and the CSLA College of Fellows have set an ambitious target: to raise half a million dollars by 2017.   In particular, we’ve focused on growing our Scholarship endowment funds so that more scholarships can be awarded on an annual basis.   Currently, we are actively seeking corporate affiliations to broaden our outreach and support.  You can read all about LACF’s focus on finance, fundraising strategies and the Annual Campaign of Fellows on our Website under membership and support. Then, visit the LACF Archives + Gallery to see the many projects realized with the support of LACF funding.

Looking to the FUTURE

We want to build a strong Foundation and our new Website is a way to keep you informed of our progress.  In collaboration with Luna Design, Vancouver, we have designed a site that showcases LACF endeavours and that will allow us to grow creatively and efficiently.  A special thank you to the CSLA 2013 Award of Excellence winners and past LACF Grant Recipients as we have used images from their works to illustrate different aspects of the profession on our Website.

Currently our volunteers are completing the French version of our bilingual site (still under construction), updating our archives and filling in the missing links one step at a time. We do want you to know LACF better!  Come back again soon to check out our progress.

THANK YOU  for your generous support.

Cecelia Paine, LACF President and Members of the LACF Board
