SALA Academic Award


SALA APPORTE UN APPUI MAJEUR À LA FONDATION en 2016 ... 

LAUREEN SNOOK, présidente de SALA, a confirmé lors de la Réunion Annuelle de la FAPC 2016 à Winnipeg, que les membres de la SALA ont décidé de donner un montant significatif (entre 50,000$ et 60,000 $) à la Fondation afin de créer une dotation dirigée vers une bourse d’étude dédiée à un étudiant qui réside en Saskatchewan. La FAPC et SALA établiront un mémorandum à cet effet détaillant les responsibilités de chaque organisme. Il est à noter que la SALA opère ce fonds depuis 1986, et a octroyé jusqu’à 1,500$ pour une bourse d’étude annuelle. L’administration de la bourse d'études demeurera sous la gouverne de SALA, nommément par Ingrid Theissen, qui en a été responsable depuis plusieurs années. 

 

THE SASKATCHEWAN ASSOCIATION OF LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTS
ACADEMIC AWARD
 

This annual award is provided to assist Saskatchewan students registered in an accredited or recognized bachelor or master of landscape architecture program anywhere in the world. The award amount for the 2016 - 2017 school year will be $1500.00 (one thousand five hundred) dollars. The award can be held for two years. The applicant must reapply the second year. To qualify, the student must be a resident of Saskatchewan* and must be registered in an accredited program as determined by the CSLA. 

 

The award will be presented on the basis of: 

1. Academic standing 
2. Qualities of character, leadership skills and participation in student and community activities 
3. Level of experience in the field 
4. Level of education attained

Deadline for application is normally at the end of October.

*Saskatchewan residency is determined by a valid Saskatchewan health card. If the student gave up Saskatchewan residency due to summer employment, the expired health card number can be used, along with proof of a Saskatchewan high school diploma.
