SALA Academic Award

SALA MAKES A SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTION TO LACF IN 2016
At the LACF Annual meeting held in Winnipeg, June 2016, SALA President Laureen Snook announced that the SALA membership had decided to donate a significant sum of money [approx. $50,000] to LACF to be managed as a sustainable endowment scholarship fund for landscape architecture students from Saskatchewan.  LACF and SALA have agreed that that LACF will manage the funds and SALA will make the recommendation for the award.  Since 1986, a $1,500 scholarship has been awarded annually to a deserving student who remains a resident in Saskatchewan. The student scholarship award will continue to be presented by SALA representative Ingrid Theissen.
